The Most Underrated Draft Pick on Each AFC East Team

We’ve compiled a list of all 32 teams and who we think are the most underrated players in the 2025 draft. We picked one player for each team, and the players may not be who you think they are. Let’s start with the AFC East.

Buffalo Bills - CB Jordan Hancock

Drafted: Round 5 - Pick 34

More versatile than many slot corners in this draft, Hancock consistently stood out in the middle of the field. He pairs sticky coverage with physical, reliable tackling, making him a legitimate weapon in the slot. His long-term potential in the NFL is promising — not just because of his skillset, but also the high-level competition he faced daily in practice and against top Big Ten receivers.

Miami Dolphins - CB Jason Marshall Jr.

Drafted: Round 5 - Pick 13

Injuries are part of the game, but the Gators clearly felt Marshall’s absence when he went down — a testament to his impact. He has the traits to become a lockdown corner at the next level. With Jalen Ramsey’s departure, he could be the young talent the Dolphins need to anchor the position moving forward.

New England Patriots - ED Bradyn Swinson

Drafted: Round 5 - Pick 8

Swinson's rise may have come late in the draft process in terms of buzz, but people forget how dominant he was during the season. He's a big-bodied edge rusher with rare power and impressive bend for his size. The Patriots landing him in the fifth round feels downright diabolical. Under Mike Vrabel's guidance, Swinson could easily become one of those Year 2 breakout stories where everyone asks, 'How did he fall to the fifth round?'

New York Jets - S Malachi Moore

Drafted: Round 4 - Pick 28

This was a no-brainer for me — he was my top safety in the class from the start. No disrespect to Nick Emmanwori or Malaki Starks — those guys are ballers — but Moore is my Brian Branch 2.0. He’s the total package at safety. It’s like watching a running back and wide receiver seamlessly play defense. Elite athleticism, instincts, and physicality — and for his size, he’ll absolutely bring the boom. With him on the field, you better keep your head on a swivel.
